Monday, July 22, 2013, TANC will organize Full Moon Tsok Offering and Molam at TANC from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Tsok will be led by Vulnerable Gungbar Chungtsang Rinpoche, and eighteen visiting monks from Drepung Loseling monastery, along with our local Bay Area monks.
The Tsok and offering will be dedicated to the self immolation of Pawo Kunchok Sonam.
Pawo “Kunchok Sonam, an 18-year-old monk of the Thangkor Sogtsang Monastery in Zoege region of eastern Tibet, set himself on fire at around 8:40 am (local time) on Saturday protesting China’s continued occupation of Tibet. He passed away at the site of his protest.”
We hope many community members will attend the Tsok to show your solidarity through prayers to the brave souls of Tibet.
Tomorrow’s Tsok and tea will be sponsored by Ngawang Dorjee Nodub la and his family.
But, everyone attending the Tsok could bring your own Tsok offerings.
