All programs are being held at the TANC community center located at 5200 Huntington Avenue, Suite 200, Richmond, CA 94804, unless otherwise indicated. TANC board looks forward to your maximum participation in the upcoming events.
1. What: NFL Superbowl Screening at TANC
When: February 1, 2015
Excited About NFL SuperBowl 2015? It will be shown on a large screen at TibetanAssoc NorCal center. Bay Area Tibetans from Dome Tibet’s province will sell Momo, Laphing, Amdho Khaptse and tea from to raise funds for the TANC. Thank you to each sponsor for their generosity, and conviction to help TANC.
2. What: Public Talk by Kalon Dicki Chhoyang, Kalon for Department of Information & International Relations
When: Feb 8, 2015, Sunday, 5.00pm
Ms Dicki Chhoyang was born in Mussoorie, India, in 1966. She immigrated to Canada along with her family at the age of four. She grew up in Montreal in Quebec, Canada and began serving the Tibetan community at a very young age. Around the age of 14, she began working on translation and serving as interpreter for community events from Tibetan to French. In her twenties, she worked in two key projects. One was her participation in the first Canadian documentary on Tibet titled “A Song for Tibet” produced by the Canadian National Film Board. The second project was Tibetan-US resettlement project under which she served as the cluster site coordinator and helped 21 Tibetan resettled in Connecticut. After completing these two projects when she was 27, she studied, researched and worked in Tibet and China in pursuit of becoming a stronger advocate for Tibet. She completed her graduate degree in Central Eurasian Studies and conducted her field research in eastern Tibet in Amdo.

3. What: Community Center Cleaning
When: February 15, 2015, Sunday, 10am – 3pm
TANC board urges community members to come and spend couple of hours on Sunday to clean our community center to get ready for the Tibetan New Year, Losar.
4. What: First Day of the Losar
When: Feb 19, 2015, Thursday, 10am
Community members are invited to pay their ceremonial offering to the altar and the HHDL’s throne. Tea and Dresil will be offered.
5. What: Losar Celebration
When: Feb 21, 2015, Saturday, 9am
